The primary service that Clearview provides to hedge fund managers is access to new sources of capital. We have both established and continually developing relationships with hundreds of accredited institutional investors, including fund of hedge funds, family offices, endowments, pensions funds, and other lesser known sources of capital that would be difficult for fund managers to access independently. We maintain and continuously update our proprietary database of investors and have historical transaction logs dating back to the inception of our firm or the inception of that particular relationship with each investor. We treat each prospective investor as a relationship, and try to provide them with valuable services by introducing only the best and most promising fund managers, which fit within their mandates, and fill holes in their portfolios. We know the investment criteria, mandate, and strategy constraints of each investor, and can quickly determine who the most promising prospective investment candidates are in order to deliver results in a timely fashion. Since our firm only works with a select number of managers at any one time, not all strategies will fit a specific investors needs. However we continue to stay in contact, and a manager who previously didn't fill a need in the portfolio will typically come back into favor as markets and other variables change.

Clearview assists in the development of key marketing documents, investor presentations, and due diligence materials. Working with the manager, Clearview updates these documents in the first week of each month for the prior months performance, and runs all major statistics including the sharp ratio, correlation to the S&P, percentage of positive months, standard deviation, downside deviation, largest draw down, net exposure, number of positions, gross long/short, average monthly return, etc. These documents are approved by the manager prior to dissemination to investors. Typically funds continue to publish their monthly reports and letters to investors that are already invested in the fund in addition to the materials that Clearview produces. Clearview is also available to assist the manager with other marketing and branding issues ranging from the construction of a secure website to designing a logo for the management company.

Clearview's principals have many years of industry experience in both the hedge fund world and as successful entrepreneurs. This puts them in a position to be able to provide advice on a whole host of issues to help fund managers be successful. Clearview will also advise clients on prospective seed investment deals even if they do not have a financial interest in the investment. Typically all of these extra consulting services are provided at no additional cost to the fund manager and are a perk of working with Clearview Capital Partners.
